Millwall U18s have qualified for the Quarter Final of the FA Youth Cup, which has drawn an excited response from fans of the South London club.

Substitute Tyrese Briscoe scored an 80th-minute winner to help the Lions win in a 3-2 thriller against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last night.

Millwall took an early lead as Sean O'Brien put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the sixth minute.

Abdul Abdulmalik extended the deficit just after half time but two goals in three minutes from Bournemouth duo Euan Pollock and Khavarn Williams pulled the sides level with just over 20 minutes to go.

Enter Briscoe, who came off the bench to grab the winner with 10 minutes remaining and secure his side a place in the Quarter Final of the FA Youth Cup.

Millwall now face a trip to either Chelsea or Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday the 10th of February, with a place in the final almost in reach.

Unsurprisingly, the U18s were buoyant in the dressing room after the result.

Things seem to be moving in the right direction at the club, with Gary Rowett's first team having pulled themselves into the play-off conversation.
