Sheffield Wednesday picked up a much-needed three points as they ran out narrow 1-0 winners over relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough.

Steven Fletcher netted a dramatic winner in the final minute of stoppage-time, as the Owls ended a winless run which had stretched to six games heading into the clash against the Addicks.

The goal was Fletcher's 13th goal of the season, as he stepped off the substitutes bench to rescue a point for Garry Monk's side, who moved up to 12th in the Championship table.

The Scotsman had been ruled out for much of this year with a knee injury, and it's no coincidence that Sheffield Wednesday's dismal run of results came when Fletcher was sidelined.

He'll be hoping he can continue to impress as the Owls look to force themselves back up the second-tier standings.

Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans took to social media to issue high-praise for Fletcher after his late winner against Lee Bowyer's side.
