‘Unplayable’, ‘Different class’ – Plenty of Blackburn Rovers fans are loving one player’s showing v Coventry City

Blackburn Rovers got back to winning ways in convincing style on Saturday afternoon, as they ran out comfortable 4-0 winners against Coventry City.Β
The game’s turning point came early into the first-half, when Michael Rose was sent-off after being deemed as the last Coventry City defender whilst Blackburn were on the attack.
A brace from Adam Armstrong, whilst goals from Harvey Elliott and Sam Gallagher saw Tony Mowbray’s side secure a reltively easy three points on the day.
But one player that caught the eye with a hugely impressive performance in the win was Ben Brereton, who was on hand to provide three assists for Blackburn’s first three goals.
The 21-year-old has struggled for consistent game time in the Blackburn squad in recent seasons, but is seemingly hitting form early into this year’s campaign.
Plenty of Blackburn Rovers supporters were quick to take to social media to issue their verdicts on Brereton’s performance in the win over the Sky Blues.
Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below….
Ben Brereton looked a totally different player from the last time we visited St Andrew's, incredible what a run of games/confidence boost has done for him.
His best game in a Rovers shirt by some distance!#rovers

Brilliant performance and win for Rovers today. Front 3 of Armstrong, Elliott and Brereton different class. Good to see Gallagher get a goal too #Rovers

Harvey Elliot superb, Brereton motm for me though. Strange that Iβm still concerned over quality in front of goal though after a 4-0 win. Good signs though

Starting to look like Brereton is the real deal! Unplayable today! Only thing missing was a goal. Three assists and ran his socks off! π΅βͺοΈπ₯ #rovers
