Many Derby County fans have taken to Facebook to offer their thoughts on Graeme Shinnie's season to date.

The Scotland international, who joined the Rams on a free transfer last summer following the expiry of his deal at Aberdeen, has struggled to establish himself as a mainstay in manager Phillip Cocu's starting eleven.

After being forced to watch on from the sidelines during the opening 10 league games of the 2019/20 campaign, Shinnie was handed his first Championship appearance during the club's 2-0 victory over Luton Town.

Having impressed during this particular fixture, the 28-year-old went on to produce eye-catching displays against the likes of Wigan Athletic and Middlesbrough.

However, Shinnie's resurgence was halted by a hamstring injury which sidelined him for two months.

Since recovering from this issue in January, the midfielder has featured in all but one of Derby's second-tier fixtures this month.

With the Rams set to face Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow, it will be intriguing to see whether Shinnie is given the nod to start at Hillsborough by Cocu.
