It's been a couple of years to forget for Huddersfield Town supporters, with the club struggling in the Championship this term.

Relegation from the Premier League won't have come as a surprise to many, but they're dismal start to this year's league campaign will certainly have caught some by surprise.

The Terriers are currently sat 21st in the Championship table, but have shown some promising signs since Danny Cowley was appointed as their new manager, with the former Lincoln City boss succeeding Jan Siewert.

When Huddersfield were in the top-flight, they struggled for goals, which was one of the main reasons as to why their stay in the Premier League was a relatively brief one.

In an effort to find a solution to their problems in front of goal, the club announced that they had signed Karlan Grant on a deal that would see him stay with the club until the summer of 2022.

Grant was impressive in his breakthrough season with Charlton, as he scored 14 goals for the Addicks in the first-half of their league campaign last term.

But there was a real sense of expectation for Grant, especially with the Terriers struggling at the time.

He scored four goals in 13 league appearances in the top-flight, and he'll be pleased with the impact he has made so far, with the 22-year-old looking impressive in the Championship.

See what some of the Huddersfield fans had to say on Grant's arrival at the time below....

Grant has been Huddersfield's main outlet for goals this term, and has scored six league goals so far, and he'll be keen to build on that strong start to the season.

With the Terriers starting the season poorly under Jan Siewert, Grant was a rare bright spark for them, and looks as though he'll be a key player for Danny Cowley's side as this year's league campaign progresses.

It seems highly unlikely that Huddersfield are going to have enough quality to challenge for a top-six finish, but as long as though they can show improvement in all areas of the pitch, then they'll have every chance of finishing inside the top-half.

Huddersfield are next in action against Blackburn Rovers after the international break, where they'll be looking to make it three straight wins at Ewood Park.
