Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Greece international midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis on a free transfer.
The club has announced the 27-year-old has signed a two-year deal at the City Ground, until the summer of 2020.
Tachtsidis becomes Aitor Karanka’s 15th signing this summer after agreeing on a move to the Championship club after leaving Olympiacos in the close season, where he made 25 appearances in all competitions.
A playmaking midfielder with a defensive mentality, who has an impressive range of passing, is the latest addition to the City Ground and could make his debut when the league resumes next weekend.
The Greece international is currently away with his country and could be in line to feature against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on September 15.
It is safe to say plenty of Forest fans are confused with the signing now it has been officially announced.
With that said, here’s how the Nottingham Forest supporters have reacted on Twitter to the signing of Tachtsidis on a free transfer.

Why?! Our squad is massive! Harmony amongst players if we have a bad run is going to be near impossible to manage- why aren’t we focusing on the players we have and getting the best out of them? If we don’t go up, we’re going to be in financial turmoil!
