Leeds United captain Liam Cooper celebrated five years at the club yesterday, although he didn't feature as the side won against Salford in the League Cup.

The 27-year-old has managed to establish himself as a key figure under Marcelo Bielsa and he has really kicked on since signing from Chesterfield in 2014.

Reporter James Marshment shared a tweet about the left-footer yesterday, stating that he has played 159 times for the club since making the move and that over 100 of those have come as skipper, putting him in a select group of players who can say that.

Despite that, Cooper wasn't always a fans favourite initially, although it's fair to say many are delighted with the improvements he has made under the current regime.
