Ipswich Town have had a poor season by their own high Championship standards this term, missing out on a playoff berth by some distance and coming to the agreement that they will part ways with manager Mick McCarthy this summer.

The Tractor Boys have become one of the more permanent fixtures in the Championship, and despite their brief foray into the Premier League, they remain one of the teams that many associate Championship football with.

Leeds United on the other hand have bigger aspirations, and the Whites will be looking to this summer to build a squad capable of winning promotion to the Premier League.

We at FLW think there could be some business to be done between both Leeds and Ipswich, and we think that striker Martyn Waghorn could well turn out to be an excellent signing for the Whites this summer.

Waghorn has smashed in 14 goals this term despite his own club's struggles, and the chance of playing for someone like Leeds could well be something he does not want to pass up at this stage of his career.

At 28, he is approaching what many will consider to be his prime years in the game, and one more big move could appeal to him.

Leeds themselves have missed a good solid number nine ever since selling striker Chris Wood, and by adding Waghorn, they could well solve some of their issues and get someone who is more or less a guaranteed goal getter in the Championship.

Leeds and Ipswich fans, what do you think? Good move? Let us know in the comments!
