Leeds United have had a brilliant season so far but with 15 matches left to be played things can still change dramatically.

The Whites currently sit second in the Championship table, just two points behind leaders Norwich but only three ahead of third-placed Sheffield United.

Wednesday sees them come up against Swansea City at Elland Road as they look to consolidate their place in the top two and give themselves some breathing room.

And Marcelo Bielsa was in fine form leading up to the match, giving updates on injuries, praising the opposition but also boosting the morale of certain players.

This time, it predominantly Luke Ayling who benefited after the right-back had come in for criticism in recent weeks.

According to Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Argentinian told his pre-match press conference that the former Bristol City was still well worth his place in the Leeds XI despite dropping off in attack.

But how will these comments affect the defender?

Bielsa has shown himself to be both an excellent tactician this season but also a brilliant man-manager and Ayling is the latest player to benefit.

For the 27-year-old to hear his manager publicly back him like this will give him enormous confidence and probably give him a new lease of life on the pitch too.
