Leeds United could face an uncertain summer in the transfer market with journalist Alan Nixon reporting that he is unsure what is 'left in the kitty' following the club's move for manager Marcelo Bielsa.

The news will be a blow for Leeds fans to take, who had been expecting the club to fully back their new man with a host of big names signings in the summer months to put Leeds on track for a crack at automatic promotion.

However, with the likes of Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra being linked but no deals as yet being completed, it could well be that Leeds are struggling to meet the financial needs of certain targets in the transfer market.

Bielsa only took over the reins at Elland Road last week after weeks of speculation about who would eventually be put in the hotseat of the Yorkshire club.

Leeds and Bielsa will be hoping the club can indeed find the funds to compete with some of the big names in the Championship, and could well be left behind clubs like Nottingham Forest and Stoke in spending terms if deals do not begin to be wrapped up in the coming weeks.

Leeds fans, what do you make of this? Do you believe it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
