Nottingham Forest’s lawyers are reportedly trying to convince the EFL to approve their loan move for West Bromwich Albion’s Kamil Grosicki, which has drawn an interesting reaction from fans of the East Midlands club.

It is understood that the Reds submitted the paperwork for the deal that would’ve seen Grosicki join them on loan 21 seconds after Friday’s 5pm deadline for domestic transfers.

Both clubs are still awaiting the EFL’s decision on whether the move can be completed.

According to The Athletic’s Steve Madeley, Forest have lawyers attempting to convince the EFL to approve the deal but their hopes hinge on the vagueness of the rules.

Madeley has revealed that the Reds are optimistic that as it was still 5pm and not yet 5.01pm when the forms were submitted, the move will be approved.

Previous reports have suggested that it was Grosicki’s indecision over the move that caused the delay and has left the deal in the balance.
