Reading take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road this weekend in one of the biggest games of both teams' season.

A win for the Royals could all but relegate Paul Lambert's side, and the Berkshire-based side are in desperate need of an all-important three points.

It has been announced that Geoff Eltringham is going to be the referee, much to the frustrating of everyone associated with Reading.

Eltringham was the man in charge of Reading's match against Aston Villa earlier this season where he let Tyrone Mings' stamp on Nelson Oliveira go unpunished despite seeing the incident.

Oliveira has since recovered from the nasty wounds to his head, but is now sporting a 'batman-like' face mask to prevent further injury occurring.

It's sure to be an interesting game on Saturday, and Reading will be hoping that Eltringham doesn't take centre stage again.

It's safe to say that this announcement didn't go down very well with Reading supporters.
