A proposed design of an Adidas-manufactured Leeds United kit has emerged on Twitter, which has drawn an excited response by fans of the Yorkshire club.

For the last five years, the Whites have had their kits manufactured by Italian sportswear brand Kappa but it is understood that they're set to change to Adidas this summer.

Leeds CEO Angus Kinnear revealed today that a decision had already been made over the "fantastic kit designs" for the 2020/21 campaign.

The Yorkshire club has had a variety of kit manufacturers in the past, including Umbro, Nike and Puma, but have never worn a kit made by Adidas.

Whites supporters will no doubt be excited by the prospect of their new Adidas-manufactured strip but it appears they will have to wait until next season to see it, despite the delay.

The Athletic has reported that Leeds will continue to wear their Kappa strip until the end of the 2019/20 season, irrelevant of how long that takes.

For the time being they will have to make do with fan creations and a proposed design of what an Adidas-manufactured Leeds kit has emerged on Twitter, with the creator suggesting that it is a modernisation of the clubs kit from the late 1980s.

It seems to have been well received by fans of the Yorkshire club, with many taking to Twitter to express their excitement.
