‘Unambitious third rate manager’ – These Stoke City fans not happy after draw v Reading

Stoke City’s draw with Reading was perhaps reflective of their season, showing lots of promise but ultimately failing to deliver anything of note.
They fell behind to a Marc McNulty goal, battled back well to get their noses in front but then conceded deep into stoppage time to lose the three points.
Whilst it wasn’t a defeat, Gary Rowett’s post-match moan about the referee has masked a wider problem within the Stoke ranks. They’re eight points from the drop, the same from the top six and seemingly in for a season of consolidation and nothing more.
Whilst a promoted side might be happy with that, a former Premier League side that have spent good money will not be. The fans are split on what the problem is, but there’s already voices calling for the former Burton manager to go.
He’s been the subject of much debate on social media in the aftermath of the draw, with some fans believing he’s been let down by players, others feeling he is the one to blame.
It remains to be seen if he stays in the job, but for now these fans have already decided what they think of him.
Bang on. Poor subs by rowett cost us

If people think sacking Rowett is the answer then they're in for a shock.
This isn't wonderful, but there's few, if no managers we realistically get who will shoot us the table.

Wow that is a positive outlook! I'm so down with that result today and the negative finish. Rowett out, simply not good enough for a squad of our talents. Should have smashed that today against a really poor fragile side.

We're already almost at the point where we can stop worrying about it. At this rate, the playoffs will be out of reach pretty soon. It'll just be a case of where we finish between 8th & 16th. 5 months of meaningless games in the new year, unless Rowett admits he's doing it wrong!

I agree. So annoyed about that surrender today because that's what it was, against a really poor side. We won't do anything with Rowett this season

Unfortunately the not given foul has provided another excuse for Rowett! He's an unambitious 3rd rate manager. Get rid now.

Rowett must be bolder, start them both in some games. Oue team should really worry the lesser lights of this league. We must be more confident in our ability, not allow the likes of Rotherham and Reading to get a draw against us. No need to try to cling on in the last 15 mins!

I’m not sure I agree. I think our squad is quite lacking compared to some in the championship. I think Rowett placed his faith in players who haven’t repaid it. Shawcross has been crap. Some others like Bauer, Bojan haven’t made the impression they should have.

Tbh mate I think we should be up at the top with the squad we have. For me it’s the pissing around with the team and negative set he goes with. After Wednesday I thought possibly we were changing. His interviews are all the same and today Rowett lost that game for us.

Yeah got the strength and then we have Rowett who makes us play with one hand behind our back. We're throwing away this opportunity with him in charge
