Aston Villa will be preparing for their crunch clash with Derby County at Wembley in the Championship Play-Off Final on Monday.

The Villans will head into this one as favourites as they come into the game in a good run of form, which has come at the perfect time of the season.

Dean Smith's side have had a number of players that have played their part in their promotion push, but one man has stood out since arriving in January.

Tyrone Mings has hardly put a foot wrong all season, since arriving on loan from AFC Bournemouth in January's transfer window.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Mings issued high praise for Smith's assistant, John Terry for the impact he's had on this Villa side.

"I'm always learning from him. He is a defender who a lot of people would have in their all-time Premier League XI, so the opportunity to work with him was a huge factor in me coming here."

Mings went on to reveal the work that Terry does behind the scenes with him after matches.

"After every game we sit down and watch clips of my performance, assessing what I did well and what I can improve.

"He has been a huge help for me."

Mings will be keen to finish the season in the best way possible with a win over the Rams at Wembley, as they hunt for a return to the Premier League.

The Verdict:

He's been key to their success.

There's no doubt that Mings has learnt a considerable amount from Terry, and the pair will be hoping to cap off an excellent season with promotion back into the Premier League.

I fear that they both could leave the club if Villa don't win promotion, with Mings unlikely to return from Bournemouth if the Villans are in the Championship again.
