One of the most memorable games in the Championship season came towards the end of the campaign as Leeds United and Aston Villa played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

That was the fixture where Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa allowed Villa to equalise after his side had played on, and scored, when the visitors striker Jonathan Kodjia lay injured on the halfway line.

Following the strike there was a lot of pushing and shoving from the players and both benches and it's fair to say the two clubs weren't pleased with each other.

And, even weeks after the game it may still be the case, with Villa's Tyrone Mings sharing an image on Instagram from that day that shows him laughing as the players clash.

The two sides were on course to meet in the play-off final in what would have been a feisty clash, however the Yorkshire side blew a one-goal lead when lost 4-2 to Derby in the semi-final second leg.

Villa progressed after beating West Brom on penalties and Mings is sure to start at Wembley in what could be his last game for the club after his loan spell from Bournemouth.

The Verdict

That was an extremely heated game, even though in reality there was little riding on the game.

However, Mings post can be viewed as a little dig at Leeds and you can understand why as Villa were not happy at all when the hosts played on and scored.

The defender will be focused on Monday's game now and from the neutral perspective it's a shame Leeds didn't get a rematch with Villa at Wembley as it would've been a great watch after what went on.
