Tyrhys Dolan reacts to personal achievement following Blackburn’s draw with Swansea

Blackburn Rovers were unable to record back-to-back wins in the Championship last night, but managed to hold high-flying Swansea City to a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park.

Tony Mowbray will have been urging his side to go on a run following their 2-0 win over Millwall at the weekend, and after a positive first-half display, they took the lead through Bradley Dack.

On 37 minutes, Dack was flicked through on goal before slotting underneath Freddie Woodman to send Rovers into the lead.

But four minutes later, Swansea were back on level terms. Jay Fulton was brought down inside the area, and Andre Ayew stepped up to fire in from 12 yards despite Thomas Kaminski diving the same way.

In the end, the points were shared, leaving Rovers sitting 14th in the Championship ahead of a home clash with Brentford on Friday night.

Taking to Instagram after an impressive individual display, Tyrhys Dolan was quick to praise Rovers’ solid performance.

The Verdict

It was another positive result for Blackburn as they look to recover from a blip and get back on a run.

They may have conceded from the penalty spot, but apart from that, they rarely look troubled which is an impressive thing to say against a dangerous side like Swansea.

Dolan was excellent last night and deserved the man-of-the-match award, and he will be hoping to kick on now and keep improving.
