Stoke City striker Tyrese Campbell has posted an update on social media ahead of the Potters' clash with Cardiff City in the Championship tonight.

The 19-year-old has been an important player for Stoke so far this season and has made 13 appearances in the Championship - although he's only scored one goal.

The forward has been an unused substitute in both of the two matches since Michael O'Neill took charge at the Bet365 Stadium - a 4-2 win at Barnsley before the international break and a 2-1 home win over Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Stoke will be looking to continue their momentum under their new manager, but they face two tough games in the space of five days. The Potters travel to 16th-placed Cardiff this evening, before hosting 17th-placed Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

Campbell will be hoping to impress his new manager in training this week and force his way back into the starting line-up. The striker took to social media on Monday evening to look ahead to what is an important few days for the team.

The attacker posted a couple of photos of himself in training on his personal

The Verdict

Stoke have made a poor start to the season in the Championship, but the appointment of O'Neill seems to have restored some of the confidence to the players.

They've got a couple of tough games coming up this week against Cardiff and Blackburn, but it'll be a massive boost for the players if they can pick maximum points.

As for Campbell, he's struggled so far this season and doesn't appear to be O'Neill's plans at the moment. He's had to settle for a place on the bench in the last couple of matches, so he'll be determined to impress his new manager in training.
