Michael Brown has stated that Tottenham Hotspur's potential move for Joe Rodon from Swansea City is a 'typical' Spurs signing.

The centre-back has been an important player for the Swans since he broke into the team back in 2018, meaning he has now made over 50 appearances for the Welsh club.

Alongside that, Rodon earned his fourth cap for Wales on Thursday night as they lost 3-0 to England at Wembley.

With Tottenham set to bid £13 million for the centre-back, it'll be a real insight on Swansea to see if the Welsh club accepts the offer before the deadline next week.

Brown has suggested that it's a typical Spurs signing and one where they may have expected to get a bit more experience in, especially in that specific position in the side.

Speaking to Football Insider on Rodon, Brown said: "I think anybody can be moulded by Jose Mourinho, he’s got that special talent that we’ve seen. He says he’s the special one, as we know.

"He’s a very experienced manager, someone you’d want to play for and it’s a typical sort of Spurs signing, isn’t it?"

The Verdict

Rodon would be a good signing for Tottenham, although he's certainly one for the future and one that will have a bigger impact in the first-team at Spurs in the future years.

He has a lot of potential and you can see that by the fact that he's getting into the Wales starting XI despite still being at a young age.

If Rodon does move then he has to make sure he keeps his head down and works hard as not many players get the opportunity to work under a world-class manager such as Jose Mourinho.
