‘Typical Leeds’, ‘Blown it’ – These fans react as Whites look back at moment from memorable Elland Road day

Leeds United have had some good days over the years and whilst winning promotion from League One will never be up their with the very best, it was an important moment in the club’s history.

A 2-1 win over Bristol Rovers secured the Whites return to the second tier and with the game coming on this day ten years ago, the club decided to look back at it on by going through the whole game.

However, as you would perhaps expect given it’s Leeds United, things didn’t go to plan. Influential winger Max Gradel was sent off in the first-half, which left the side in a tough position. They would even end up going a goal down until Jonny Howson and Jermaine Beckford turned things around to send Elland Road wild.

That seemed highly unlikely when Gradel was dismissed and the fans would have been expecting the worst back then. Here we look at some of the comments from the support as they look back at the red card and explain their emotions at the time…
