Leeds United's Tyler Roberts struggled to hit the ground running when he signed for the Whites, but he's more than made up for that in recent weeks.

The youngster has been deployed in a makeshift midfield role under Marcelo Bielsa, and it's certainly changed his fortunes for the better.

His good run of form has seen him called up to the Wales senior side for their matches this week against Trinidad and Tobago, as well as a crucial Euro 2020 qualifier against Slovakia.

Roberts took to Instagram to give Welsh supporters an insight into the mood in the Wales camp ahead of the game and it's sure to leave a smile on their faces.

Roberts seems to be thriving under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa this season, and he'll be keen to have success both with Leeds and Wales this season.

The Whites will be keen to fire themselves back into the automatic promotion places as soon as possible, with just eight games remaining of the Championship season.

Leeds supporters will be hoping that Roberts can stay injury free, otherwise he would leave a notable void in Bielsa's starting XI at a make or break period in this year's season.

Wales will be favourites heading into both games this week, as they look to get off to the best possible start to their qualification campaign.

The Verdict:

He's really impressed me this season.

I didn't think he would have much of a role to play in the Leeds team this season, but he's certainly proved me wrong which is pleasing to see.

He'll be a crucial player to both Leeds and Wales this season on both the club and international stage.
