Tyler Roberts reacts to major EFL news concerning Leeds United

Published

on

Tyler Roberts is seemingly raring to go, with Leeds United given hope of the Championship season resuming later this month.

Leeds have seen their promotion push placed on hold over the course of the last three months, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side patiently kicking their heels awaiting the green light for the season to resume.

And, last night, they were given a significant boost, with reports emerging and confirming that June 20th could see the return of Championship football.

Quiz: Have Leeds United done these 15 things in the last 10 years? – Yes or no?

Sold 3+ players to Norwich City.

The excitement around Leeds was evident on the back of that announcement, with Roberts amongst those to react to the news by taking to Twitter and delivering the following message:

Over the course of the EFL’s postponement, Leeds’ players have done their best to retain top levels of fitness, whilst their desire to conclude the season has been made public knowledge throughout.

Currently, Bielsa’s side sit top of the table, a point clear of West Brom, but, more importantly, there’s a gap of seven points between the Whites and Fulham, who sit third and hold the biggest threat to the top-two.

In the remaining nine games, both Leeds and West Brom will go up against Fulham.

The Verdict

Roberts, like most associated with Leeds, is clearly delighted with this news.

The general feeling surrounding the club is that they wanted to conclude the season the proper way to see if Leeds can right the wrongs of last season and last the distance.

There will be pressure on them, but given their form over the course of the season, there will be a confidence they can finish the job.
