Roberts has come back into the Leeds United picture in recent weeks, playing in the club’s last 11 straight matches and starting the last four.

The Whites will be desperate to pick up all three points this weekend when Neil Harris’ side come to visit having dropped out of the automatic promotion places.

A crushing 1-0 loss to promotion rivals Sheffield United last weekend saw the Blades jump above them and into the top-two with just eight matches of the season remaining.

The verdict

Roberts has been brilliant in recent weeks and could prove crucial in getting the Whites into the Premier League.

His performance in the 4-0 win against West Brom a few weeks back was one of the best individual displays seen from a Leeds player this season.

He adds a directness in the middle of the pitch that no one else in the squad seems capable of doing.
