It was a summer of change at Leeds United, as Marcelo Bielsa made changes to his squad in the transfer window ahead of the 2019/20 league campaign.

Kemar Roofe left the club to join Belgian side, Anderlecht, in a move that will have been frustrating for Leeds supporters to take after they missed out on a long-awaited return to the Premier League.

Roofe recently took to

Former Leeds United team-mates, Tyler Roberts and Hadi Sacko responded to his latest social post, and Roberts' reply in particular will raise a smile amongst the Elland Road faithful.

Leeds won't be missing Roofe as much as they thought they would, with Patrick Bamford stepping up to the mark at the perfect time.

Bamford has scored three goals already this season, which included a brace against Wigan Athletic at the weekend to see Leeds move into the top-six.

Roofe netted 14 goals for the Whites last season in an injury-hit league campaign, where they eventually lost out on promotion after a defeat to Derby County in their play-off semi-final at Elland Road.

Leeds are next in action against Brentford on Wednesday evening, where they could move to the top of the Championship table with a win.

The Verdict:

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on over there.

There's on doubting that Roofe is a goalscorer at Championship level, but I'm not sure a move to Anderlecht was the best choice if I'm being honest.

The Elland Road faithful won't be concerned by his departure either, as Patrick Bamford has stepped up to the mark at the right time it seems.
