Wolverhampton Wanderers have taken the Championship by storm this season, following a summer in which Portuguese boss Nuno Espirito Santo invested heavily to bring a plethora of fine young players to the club.

Inspired loan signings of the likes of Diogo Jota, Leo Bonatini and Willy Boly complemented permanent deals for star men like Ruben Neves and Barry Douglas, with the new faces at the club adapting to their surroundings with consummate ease.

Wolves’ Chinese owners have promised to spare no expense in their quest to deliver Premier League football to the club, and the cheque book could be open again in January to give Santo’s side an injection of quality heading into the business end of the season.

To make room for new faces, several could be on their way out in the new year, and this duo should be increasingly concerned for their Molineux future in the next few months…

Ben Marshall

Marshall simply does not have a future at the club anymore.

The 26-year-old has made just one start in the league this season, and is miles behind fellow wingers Diogo Jota, Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa in terms of quality.

Still a good player who remains a popular figure at the club, Marshall will have no end of offers come his way, but his time with Wolves is up.

He must leave in January to ensure his career does not stagnate on the Molineux bench, and find himself a Championship club where he can become a star once more.

Alfred N’Diaye

N’Diaye isn’t under serious threat as it stands, but if a better option became available in January, the midfielder could become surplus to requirements at the club.

The Senegalese international has made just three starts in the league this season, and may be concerned about his playing time with a World Cup on the horizon.

Senegal reached their first global tournament in 16 years after topping their qualifying group, and N’Diaye will not want to miss out on what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

He may have to leave in January to fulfil his dream, and allow for Wolves to find a better option in the middle of the park.
