Blackburn Rovers host Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park on Tuesday as they look to bounce back from a frustrating 2-1 defeat at home to Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from James Collins and former Blackburn youth man Matty Pearson gave the Hatters the win in Lancashire on Saturday, despite Tony Mowbray's men dominating the majority of possession and territory during the match.

Mowbray therefore, will be determined to avoid a repeat of that scenario his side host high flying Forest on Tuesday night, when the visitors will go in search of a fourth straight win in the league.

This, therefore, will be a big challenge for Rovers, so here, we've taken a look at two changes Mowbray could make to his side to give them the best possible chance of taking something from Tuesday night's clash.

Revert to three at the back

Having employed the central defensive pairing of Derrick Williams and Darragh Lenihan for the past two games, Mowbray could opt to bring in a third central defender against Forest.

Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo should be the third man in that role, having done so in a 2-0 home win over Millwall the last time Rovers used that system.

Having subsequently missed the win at Reading due to injury, Adarabioyo was on the bench for the defeat to Luton, suggesting he should be fit to feature against Forest.

As well as adding an extra element of control to the centre of Rovers' backline, it would also allow Elliott Bennett and Greg Cunningham to operate as wing-backs rather than out and out full-backs, giving Blackburn an extra edge both going forward and in defence.

A recall for Danny Graham

One man who seemed to struggle in particular against Luton was centre forward Sam Gallagher.

On his own against a solid and determined Luton defence, the summer signing from Southampton struggled to really make an impact, and was replaced just past the hour mark by Danny Graham.

Having presented more of a problem for Luton than Gallagher - getting himself into dangerous positions and showing signs of re-establishing a link up with the talismanic Bradley Dack.

A recall to the starting XI for Graham could well be on the cards on Tuesday evening, in order to trouble a Forest defence that could be unsettled by an injury to the commanding presence at the back that is Michael Dawson.

Graham was also on target the last time these two met, as Rovers recorded a 2-1 win at The City Ground in April, and following Saturday's setback, a similar contribution tonight certainly wouldn't go amiss for Rovers.
