Leeds United youngster Jack Clarke has become one of the hottest young properties in European football this season.

His emergence as a key squad member of Marcelo Bielsa's squad has coincided with Leeds putting themselves in their best position in years to win promotion back to the Premier League.

However, Clarke's form and talent has been catching the eye of some onlooking clubs, and the Express is reporting today that Liverpool are the latest club to show a keen interest in signing the teenager in the summer.

The report claims that the Reds could move for Clarke even if Leeds are promoted to the Premier League, in what is a worrying sign for the Yorkshire club, who would have been hoping to keep hold of one of their star youngsters.

It's bound to be a tough decision Leeds face if a bid does surface from Liverpool though, and with that, we've looked at TWO things Leeds need to be considering if a bid does come in for the impressive Clarke...

The amount they would be willing to accept

In this day and age, Premier League clubs can pretty much pay whatever transfer fee they want, and Leeds need to bare this in mind.

It would be a travesty really to see Clarke sold on for anything less than double figures in terms of the millions, and if I was the Leeds board, I'd be looking at the £20m mark.

We only have to look at the likes of James Maddison and David Brooks who have impressed in the top flight and now look like bargain buys for their respective clubs.

Saying no completely

It's a tough one to turn down if a big money bid does come in, but could Leeds just respectfully say 'no' to any watching clubs?

Leeds are building for themselves, and Clarke will have a key role to play in the future of the club.

If they want to keep their best players and ensure they continue to develop as a club, then keeping one of their top young products would be a big statement.
