Nottingham Forest secured their Championship safety last time out and now all eyes will be on the summer and who new manager Aitor Karanka looks to bring in, as the club look to avoid another season flirting with relegation.

The Reds are a club who really should be challenging for a top six spot in the Championship, but they are where they are on merit, and the fans at the City Ground will be keen to see how their Spanish manager addresses this and pushes them up the table.

January was a good time for Forest, with the club bringing in a host of new players and seemingly having the backing of their new owners, and there's every reason for Reds fans to be excited heading into this summer.

With that thought in mind, we at FLW decided to take a look at who the club might look to sign, so here's TWO Premier League players we think Forest could look to sign this summer...

Matty James

The Leicester City midfielder would not have far to travel if he was to secure a move to the City Ground, and would prove a useful addition to the squad for Karanka and co.

James has seen his place with the Foxes lost due to a whole host of signings and injuries robbing him of any success in their title winning season, and a move this summer could well be on the cards.

Excellent on the ball, and still only 26, James would be a superb addition in the middle of the park for Forest.

Sam Baldock

Forest could well do with adding some goals to their team, and Brighton striker Baldock is one player who finds himself without a lot of game time at the moment.

However, Baldock is a talent, and is proven at Championship level too.

Pacey, good in front of goal, and no doubt with something of a point to prove, Baldock would be an excellent addition for the Reds and give them a real threat going forward.
