Derby County remain right in the hunt for a playoff place despite falling well back from the pack chasing automatic promotion, and, at the time of writing, we sat just outside the top six in seventh place.

The Rams have once again come up short in their quest for the top two, and despite Gary Rowett doing a decent enough job at Pride Park, there is a strong sense that the club should be doing much better and not struggling to make the playoffs.

The summer will represent a big chance for Rowett to once again delve into the transfer market and shuffle his pack, and with the last few windows allowing the Rams to really splash the cash, it could be that Rowett has to wheel and deal a bit more this time around.

With that in mind, we at FLW have taken a look at the squads in the Premier League and picked out TWO players we think Derby could look to sign this summer...

Hal Robson-Kanu

The Welsh international has not had the best of seasons for West Brom and seems to be a player who is best suited to playing Championship football.

Robson-Kanu earned himself a Premier League move following some impressive displays in Euro 2016, but has failed to cement his place and stamp his authority on the squad at the Hawthorns.

Derby though could do with some workman like players, and the Welsh international might well get a new lease of life if he was to move to the Rams.

Phil Foden

The Rams will no doubt be in the hunt for some players who want to prove their worth in the summer, and teenager Foden is a player who falls into this category.

The Manchester City youngster is one of the most sought after talents in the Premier League and is highly thought of by his manager Pep Guardiola, who has already given him game time this season.

A season in the Championship could do him the world of good, and while he is a young player, there is little doubt he can have a massive impact on proceedings at Pride Park.
