West Brom are on the comeback trail, they've started the season strongly and there's every chance that they could be set for a strong promotion challenge.

They've got so much attacking talent to choose from, they'll always offer a threat going forward. Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez are as good as you'll get up front at this level. Harvey Barnes, Matt Phillips and Oliver Burke are all exciting talents too, all adding to the rich tapestry of West Brom attackers.

Even Bakary Sako is now on trial with the Baggies, only adding more firepower if he succeeds in earning a deal.

If they are going to ascend the division and return to the top flight, they're going to need to keep an eye out for players at the back and in the holding midfield role too. Currently, Chris Brunt and Gareth Barry are sharing that spot, but Darren Moore will likely be wanting to improve in January, if he can.

They might also want to move Craig Dawson on after his summer antics, so Moore might also be scouting defenders. Here are two players we think he should have instructed his scouts to watch.

He'll have to watch reserve football for this guy, but Liam Bridcutt would be perfect for the Baggies.

He'll be turning out in the Forest stiffs, maybe even for the Under 23 squad, so the West Brom scouts will be working overtime.

It could pay off, Bridcutt seems to be surplus to requirements at the City Ground, but he'd bring the energy and endeavour to the holding role at the Hawthorns.

The German is enjoying a great spell at Charlton right now and at 25-years old he still has a lot to offer in his career.

He's not yet in his prime and the question he has to ask is this; will Charlton match his ambition?

If not, Darren Moore's scouts should be watching him every single game, because he would slip into their defence nicely, allowing them to move Craig Dawson on for a decent fee in January.
