Two in, two out at Nottingham Forest in January – Thoughts?

Published

on

Nottingham Forest will hope that Saturday’s 2-0 win over Ipswich Town will reignite their season, after the Reds tasted victory for just the second time in 11 Championship matches.

Britt Assombalonga proved his worth to the team with a typically calm brace, ensuring that Forest ended their baron run and eased some of the pressure on boss Philippe Montanier in the process.

There is still some work to do at the City Ground, however, and the Reds will travel to Barnsley on Friday evening looking to secure their second away win of the campaign.

A takeover looks to be on the horizon at Forest and that could make for an interesting January transfer window for the club, with the new investors likely to demand that the club sits in a higher position than their current 18th place.

Football League World writer Lee Clarke takes a look at two players who could come in and two that could leave Nottingham Forest during the forthcoming transfer window.
