Middlesbrough have gotten themselves into the end of season shootout for a spot in the Premier League, and manager Tony Pulis will be pleased with his work since taking over from Garry Monk.

They have a genuine chance of winning back their place in the top flight, and with the likes of Patrick Bamford and Britt Assombalonga in red hot form, the Boro fans will be extremely hopeful of a return to the Premier League.

The summer represents a chance for Pulis to address certain areas of his squad, and there are plenty of players in the Championship who he will have no doubt have had his eye on during the course of this season.

We at FLW think a few players fall well into this category and could well be up for a move from their own Championship club to Boro, so with that in mind, we've taken a look at TWO Championship players who Middlesbrough could look to sign this summer...

Jack O'Connell

With Ben Gibson once again coming under the microscope in terms of a move away from the club, Pulis may well need to venture into the market for another defender.

Sheffield United's Jack O'Connell has had a superb season in the second tier, after being one of the standout performers in League One last time out.

The Blades will not want to lose O'Connell, but every player has his price, and if Boro can secure a place in the top flight,  move could well be too hard to turn down for the former Brentford man.

Kamil Grosicki

The Hull City winger started the season off in red hot form, but he could not maintain those levels for the majority of the season, despite helping Nigel Adkins' men avoid relegation.

Grosicki is on his day, a class act, and a player more than capable of turning a game on its head with a moment of magic.

With Boro likely to add wide players to the ranks if they do go up, then Grosicki fits right into the mould of a player who could flourish at the Riverside.
