After a summer of high expectations, Gary Rowett's Stoke City have made a very disappointing start to life back in the Championship.

The Potters, who were tipped as the bookies' favourites to lift the Championship title in May before the season had began, have won just one of their opening six league outings, drawing twice and losing three times.

Rowett has assembled a squad, however, capable of much better things, and the former Derby boss will be looking to kick on this weekend against a Sheffield Wednesday side who have won their last three league games.

After a disappointing 2-1 defeat away at West Brom before the international break, there are bound to be changes to Rowett's starting lineup.

Here, we take a look at two changes that could be made this Saturday afternoon...

Afobe came off the bench for the Potters against West Brom, however it was a case of too little too late as he couldn't help the side grab a point from the game.

The 25-year old is a proven goalscorer with a lot to offer in the Championship however, and Rowett should definitely look at starting him on Saturday if Stoke fortunes are to change.

Woods came off the bench to make his debut for Stoke against the Baggies, following his arrival from Brentford where he was a standout player for the Bees.

The industrious midfielder should definitely be looking to start this weekend, though he will replace out of Joe Allen and Peter Otebo remains to be seen
