It has been a dismal start to the season for Paul Clement's Reading, who sit at the bottom of the Championship table after six games.

The Royals are one of three teams in the division still looking for that first win of the campaign, after drawing twice and losing four times.

It has been a turbulent time for the Royals off the pitch too, with technical director Brian Tevreden leaving the Madejski Stadium after two-and-a-half years amid frustrations with club chief executive Ron Gourlay.

Clement will no doubt be caring solely about on-field matters, where his side travel to Preston North End on Saturday afternoon, in search of their first win of the campaign.

Here, we take a look at two changes that Paul Clement could make to his starting lineup, that suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago...

Bodvarsson is quite clearly the Royals' biggest threat up top - the Icelandic international has scored three times for Clement's men in five league appearances this season.

After missing out on the Royals' defeat to Wednesday due to illness, the 26-year old will be hoping that he can get back amongst the goals after featuring for Iceland against Belgium in midweek.

Sims is yet to make an appearance for Reading yet, but he will undoubtedly be hoping that that changes come Saturday afternoon as he looks to add pace and width to the Reading attack.

The Southampton loanee is highly regarded at the St. Mary's, and could prove to be a shrewd addition for Clement's men, after being a standout player in Southampton's youth ranks.
