Birmingham City will be looking to secure their first win of the season as they look to face local rivals West Brom on Friday night.

Garry Monk's men have made a sluggish start to the season, failing to find a win in their opening six league games, losing twice and drawing four times.

There is something to build on for the Blues after a solid 0-0 draw over QPR, which on another day, Monk's men may have gone home with all three points.

It's likely to be a fiesty encounter against the Baggies on Friday night, and it remains to be seen if Monk will make changes to his side that performed well against the R's a fortnight ago.

With that being said, here we take a look at two changes to Monk's starting eleven, that we could see against West Brom.

On his day, Jota has the ability to be perhaps the best winger/playmaker in the division, although hasn't really had the best of games in recent times, therefore maybe a drop to the bench may fire him up and enable him to come back as a better, more hungry player.

Bournemouth loanee Connor Mahoney, deserves his chance to impress after a couple of promising substitute appearances.

Craig Gardner could come back into contention for a starting place on Friday night, after his recent suspension following a red card away at Middlesbrough earlier on in the season.

Maikel Kieftenbeld is been a solid performer in recent weeks, however Gardner would provide more energy in the middle of the park alongside brother Gary.
