Two changes: The Middlesbrough XI Jonathan Woodgate is expected to name v Tottenham

Middlesbrough have the opportunity to cause a real FA Cup upset as they travel to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

The Championship side are in a rich vein of form as they look to extend a run of six games without a loss.

That includes the 1-1 draw in the original tie which saw Ashley Fletcher’s opener cancelled out by a Lucas Moura header.

Jonathan Woodgate will be determined to put in a strong display against his former club and that means that it’s likely for Middlesbrough to name their strongest possible side to take on Jose Mourinho’s side.

Here’s how Phil Spencer expects the Teessiders to line up in North London.

A number of injuries mean that Jonathan Woodgate is likely to keep the faith with a similar side to that which started the clash at the Riverside Stadium.

Britt Assombalonga, Anfernee Dijksteel, George Friend, Ryan Shotton and Daniel Ayala will all miss out, meaning that Woodgate’s side almost picks itself.

What number does Tomas Mejias wear?

After starting against Spurs nine days ago, Tomas Mejias is expected to start in goal, while Djed Spence, Jonny Howson, Dael Fry, Paddy McNair and Hayden Coulson should line up in defence.

Adam Clayton could return in midfield to solidify the Middlesbrough team, and could be joined by George Saville and Marcus Tavernier.

In attack it’s likely that Woodgate will stick with Patrick Roberts and Ashley Fletcher, although Lukas Nmecha and Rudy Gestede will be chomping at the bit to be involved.
