Leeds United will be hoping for a busy January as they look to provide Marcelo Bielsa with the new faces needed to sustain a promotion push.

The Whites have been outstanding this season and currently lead the way in the Championship.

However, their small squad has been stretched in recent weeks with several injuries and results suffered because of that.

Therefore, they will be after a few signings in the New Year, with a winger likely to be high on the list for the Argentinian manager.

Yet, they won't be signing Albert Adomah, who they had been linked with.

The 30-year-old's agent revealed to Sport Witness that his client wants to stay at Aston Villa and ruled out the possibility of moving in January.

Given that, we look at TWO alternatives Leeds should be considering ahead of the window...

With Hull likely to be involved in a relegation scrap, they will be reluctant to sell such a key player but money talks and Bowen would surely welcome the chance to be competing at the other end of the table.

The 21-year-old has the energy, drive and technical ability that Bielsa appreciates and importantly weighs in with goals.

He hit 14 last season and has four in this campaign but that would improve playing in a more attacking side.

It would be a big move but the sort of signing that could fire Leeds back to the top-flight.

Leeds have been linked with a move for the Alaves man and he would give them something different out wide.

Additionally, he is a player that Bielsa knows well having worked with him at Athletic Bilbao.

The obvious issue is he would need to adapt to life in English football immediately, however, he has the technique and skill to flourish under his former boss.
