Sky Sports pundit David Prutton is expecting Aston Villa to edge it when they come up against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park on Saturday evening.

Villa won convincingly last time out in the Championship, whilst Forest stuttered at home to Wolves. Meanwhile, both sides lost comfortably in Carabao Cup action during the week.

The visitors will be looking to halt an alarming run of four defeats in five in all competitions but they still sit above the hosts in 10th place.

For Villa, it's all about building momentum and closing the gap on the top six.

Former Forest midfielder Prutton feels that because of Villa's recent form, they will have too much for his old club.

Aston Villa have got to win this for me. They're undefeated in the league in five now, and while they've got a few too many draws in there it looks like things are coming together,he wrote for Sky Sports.

Prutton went on to predict a 2-1 Aston Villa win with youngster Keinan Davis to score first.

The 19-year old notched his first senior goal for the club at Oakwell last week and has delighted the fans with his contribution. Davis is line to start up front alongside Jonathan Kodjia again tomorrow.

The Verdict

It's a fair call from Prutton given the mixed form Forest have shown so far this season. They've won two and lost two from their four away fixtures in the Championship this season.

The pressure is really on Villa to move up the table and they will expect to beat Forest at home.

Keinan Davis has been a bright spark to a poor season for Villa and will now be looking for his first goal in front of the Holte End.
