It’s been a strange start to the summer for Leeds United, with a lot of focus going into trimming Marcelo Bielsa’s playing squad.

Only Lewis Baker has been signed by Leeds, whilst a number of players have departed Elland Road, both on-loan and permanently.

The latest player to depart is Mallik Wilks, with the striker linking up with Doncaster Rovers on-loan until January.

The 19-year-old has made one senior appearance for the Whites, which came during Garry Monk’s time as head-coach.

Wilks had two loan spells away from Elland Road last season, with Leeds looking to give the youngster some much-needed first-team experience away from Elland Road.

As expected, there was plenty of reaction to Wilks’ departure, with the striker joining a long list of players to depart this summer.

Here is the best of that reaction…

This is a good move for Wilks and Leeds.

Another young player looks set to gain experience elsewhere, which can only be good for Wilks’ development.
