Millwall will look to follow up their impressive win on the road at Pride Park in midweek when they go up against an in-form Preston North End.

Neil Harris’ men won on the road for only the second time this season with a 1-0 win over Derby County on Wednesday evening.

Jed Wallace scored the only goal of the game after 72 minutes after the Lions counter-attacked their hosts to steal all three points against the promotion-chasers.

But the games in the second-tier come thick and fast, and with no time to dwell, Preston visit The Den this weekend.

Harris will want a similar defensive display from his side, but more gumption is needed in attack.

With that said this is the Millwall XI that Harris should play v Preston tomorrow afternoon.

Millwall’s goalkeeper was not troubled until the 92nd minute in the win over Derby on Wednesday, and he will be hoping for a similar afternoon tomorrow, too.

[snack_break title="RB: Mahlon Romeo"]

One of his best performances in a Millwall shirt last time out, Romeo is destined to retain his place.

[snack_break title="CB: Shaun Hutchinson"]

Unbelievably confident and assured at the back against Derby. Those questioning his return after Alex Pearce’s FA Cup performance were silenced in midweek.

[snack_break title="CB: Jake Cooper"]

Always a threat in both boxes, Cooper’s partnership with Hutchinson will continue.

[snack_break title="LB: Murray Wallace"]

Finally starting to show his true form and playing the best football of his Millwall career, he will be a certain starter tomorrow.

[snack_break title="RCM: Ryan Leonard"]

Industrious in the middle of the pitch every week, especially the win over Derby, Leonard is getting back to top form.

[snack_break title="LCM: Ryan Tunnicliffe"]

Shaun Williams was a little sloppy in possession and looked leggy at times against Derby – It wouldn’t be surprising if Tunnicliffe came in from the start this week after his cameo in midweek.

[snack_break title="CAM: Jed Wallace"]

Played the number ten role superbly and scored the all-important goal in midweek, retaining his place in that role seems inevitable.

[snack_break title="LAM: Shane Ferguson"]

Ferguson played well in the win over Derby, but he could be moved to the left after being on the right in midweek – he is more effective in his natural role on the opposite flank.

[snack_break title="RAM: Ben Marshall"]

Quiet in large spells against Derby – maybe swapping him with Ferguson on the opposite flank could liven him up a little.

[snack_break title="ST: Lee Gregory"]

Better in a two than a lone striker, Gregory is still putting in a shift despite having fewer chances on goal. Expect that to continue tomorrow afternoon.
