Sunderland have got a fairly lengthy list of former players, but unfortunately not all of them are fan favourites.

One of those is Donald Love.

The 25-year-old spent three years at the Stadium Of Light between 2016 and 2019 - a period which was far from a successful time for the club.

That three-year period saw the Black Cats plummet from the Premier League to League One where they are currently scrambling to try and secure promotion back to the second tier.

Love now plays for Shrewsbury Town and attracted some unwanted attention over the weekend during the FA Cup fourth round clash with Liverpool.

The defender put the ball in his own net against the Premier League giants - a goal which cost his side a memorable victory over Jurgen Klopp's side.

As you'd expect, some Sunderland supporters were quick to take to social media to take fire at their former star's blunder.

Here's what they had to say.
