For the third successive Championship match at the Riverside, Middlesbrough won 2-0 last night, with Barnsley becoming their latest victims.

Andraz Sporar opened the scoring in the 20th minute for the hosts, when he nodded Paddy McNair's perfectly-weighted cross into the bottom left corner of the goal.

Both sides squandered decent chances to change the complexion of the game, with Duncan Watmore's miss probably topping the lot.

McNair grabbed his second assist of the game in the 87th minute, nodding Martin Payero's free-kick back into the mix, with the towering Matt Crooks nodding in to doubled his side's advantage.

Despite the trouble that Barnsley find themselves in at the moment, they did manage to piece together some well-worked attacking moves.

However, it was a strong performance from Boro's backline, with Sol Bamba particularly impressing with a commanding display.

The 36-year-old has started five times for Neil Warnock's side this season, with Boro conceding just four times in the process.

Bamba is closing in on 200 Championship appearances in his career, and he is still proving to be a real competent option for The Teessiders to have at their disposal.

Here, we take a look at how Middlesbrough fans have reacted on Twitter to Bamba's performance against The Tykes...
