Trouble for Nottingham Forest: Why a win against Sheffield Utd is looking unlikely

Published

on

The Championship is back this weekend with another set of big fixtures as the race for the top six and battle for survival continues.

It’s already been an interesting season with plenty of story-lines unfolding and two will cross paths at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest host Sheffield United on Saturday.

Forest’s season so far has seen them start well but fall away in recent weeks and so they’ll need to try and kick-start their campaign against a United side that is pulling up trees right now with them second in the league.

It’ll be a tough game for the Reds, then, and the record from previous meetings certainly doesn’t make for pleasant reading for them.

Indeed, as per transfermarkt, Forest have just the one win against the Blades in their last nine games against one another and that is something that Mark Warburton and his players will want to be changing.

With United buoyant after wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves recently, though, the Reds are likely to be right up against it in trying to get those three points come kick-off tomorrow afternoon.
