Sheffield Wednesday slipped out of the Championship play-off places on Wednesday night following their 1-1 draw with Derby County.

Wednesday conceded a late penalty which Chris Martin converted to deny Garry Monk's side a third consecutive Championship win.

Despite not leaving Pride Park with all three points there were some positives to take for Garry Monk, one of these being the continuing good form of striker Steven Fletcher.

The 32-year-old scored his sixth goal in five games on Wednesday evening taking his tally to 11 for the season, firmly out in front as Wednesday top goalscorer so far this term.

A miss-placed pass from the Rams' Craig Forsyth saw Barry Bannan pick up the loose ball and feed the Scottish international, who calmly curled the ball past Ben Hamer from 18 yards.

With Wednesday on course for the fifth away victory of the campaign, Owls fans were no doubt delighted to see Fletcher once again on the score sheet.

After Martin's equaliser in the 82nd minute for the Rams, the Owls where made to nervously wait out stoppage time when Moses Odubajo saw red for an apparent elbow on Scott Malone.

After breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute, the official Sheffield Wednesday Twitter account updated their followers of Fletcher's goal with the caption: "And Again!" Marking his sixth goal in five games.

Some Wednesday fans were quick to reply to the Scot's goal, with some fans calling for Wednesday to keep playing with two up top...
