West Ham remain hopeful that Said Benrahma will become a Hammers player before Friday's 5pm domestic deadline, according to the Evening Standard.

Benrahma appeared on course to move to the London Stadium over the weekend after the Athletic's David Ornstein revealed that West Ham had agreed a £30-million fee with Brentford.

Ornstein even reported that the 25-year-old would undergo his medical in East London tomorrow after he returned from international duty with Algeria.

However, personal terms weren't agreed and the Mirror reported that deal was on the verge of collapsing - with David Moyes turning his focus to bringing Bournemouth's Josh King to the club.

Are these 15 Said Benrahma facts true or false?

But the Standard believe that West Ham are still confident that they'll beat Friday's deadline and sign Benrahma, who was one of the stand-out Championship players last term, having a hand in 26 goals as the Bees were beaten play-off finalists.

Benrahma is expected to play in Algeria's friendly with Mexico later today before flying home to London on Wednesday in order to complete a move to West Ham.

The Verdict

There seems to be some minor issues between the two clubs, but you'd expect those details to get ironed out in the coming days, which should finally put an end to the Benrahma transfer-saga.

Benrahma has been linked with so many sides during the window, that you can almost guarantee he won't still be a Bees player come 5pm on Friday - with West Ham on the verge of beating off competition from a number of their Premier League rivals.
