Wolverhampton Wanderers are celebrating their promotion back to the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s first year in English football has brought automatic promotion and the Sky Bet Championship title, with Wolves able to sit back and enjoy the final two fixtures of the season.

Of course, Wolves still have the aim of breaking the 100-point mark in the coming weeks, but Nuno will be in a relaxed mood and able to begin to turn his focus to the summer transfer window.

Wolves’ ambitions have been made clear following promotion and the likelihood is that we will see Nuno make a big impact in the summer market, with some high-profile names sure to be on their radar.

With that in mind, we look ahead to the summer, which is fast approaching now, identifying THREE players in particular that we believe Wolves need to be on red-alert for…

Romeu is part of Southampton’s relegation-threatened squad in the Premier League.

Although his current side are struggling, Romeu is a magnificent holding midfielder, who would improve most squads outside the top-six in the Premier League.

Nuno has to be keeping tabs on the 26-year-old, seeing if Wolves can take advantage of Southampton’s potential relegation.

Loftus-Cheek is currently on-loan with Crystal Palace from Chelsea, where he is impressing in the Premier League.

Although Loftus-Cheek will be heading back to Stamford Bridge in the summer, another loan move could well be on the cards for the midfielder.

Wolves would be foolish not to be interested in offering the towering midfielder a move to Molineux.

Butland is another player playing in a relegation-threatened squad, with the goalkeeper at Stoke City.

The England international is likely to leave Stoke if they are relegated, with some high-profile clubs sure to be interested.

It would be a big coup for Wolves if they could get a player like Butland in next season.
