Wolves midfielder Prince Oniangue has joined French Ligue 1 relegation-battlers Angers on loan until the end of the season, according to the Express and Star.
The 29-year-old Congolese international has not played a single minute for Nuno Santo’s high-flying Wolves side this season and has only featured twice in the Premier League 2, in defeats to Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.
He featured twice in his country’s ultimately unsuccessful World Cup qualification campaign and will be hoping for further game time to enhance his international aspirations.
Oniangue was signed from French football, coming to Molineux from Metz and he has enjoyed a loan spell at Bastia during his time with the club.
While Wolves have soared up the league, Oniangue has been left behind and a return to France is the best move for him, to help him rediscover his best form.
There is no option in the loan for a permanent deal which leaves the door open for a return but I would be surprised if that proves to be the case.
