If recent transfer rumours are to be believed, then a number of  Championship clubs are said to be pursuing a deal for Fulham youngster Steven Sessegnon.

HITC Sport has been recently reporting that the young full-back is being tracked by a number of Championship and Ligue 1 clubs over a potential loan move in January when the transfer window reopens.

The 18-year-old has already featured for the Fulham first-team this season in the EFL Cup, but is yet to make a league appearance for the Premier League side.

Sessegnon is seemingly down the pecking order at Craven Cottage, which is understandable given his age, but with the likes of Callum Chambers and Alfie Mawson in front of him, it seems difficult to believe that the youngster will be getting regular first-team football anytime soon.

A loan move for Sessegnon could be an excellent career path and could serve him well in his development going forward with Fulham in the future.

Find out why we think he should sign for the Lions here....

Sessegnon has already made first-team appearances in cup competitions for Fulham in his last two seasons with the Premier League side.

He would provide excellent cover in the centre of defence and would certainly be staking a claim for a starting spot in the Millwall team, but faces stiff competition from the likes of Jake Cooper for a place in Neil Harris' side.

When you hear the surname, Sessegnon, 99% of the time, people are going to think that you are talking about Ryan Sessegnon.

Steven's twin brother has certainly made a name for himself and has become a fans favourite in the Fulham first-team in recent years.

A loan move to the Championship would be an excellent move for Steven Sessegnon who will be keen to follow in his twin brother's footsteps as his career progresses.

The right-back has is not only one of the brightest young players to come out of Fulham's academy, but he has the potential to be a real force in the Premier League in the future.

Sessegnon has already represented England at youth level and will be hoping to feature regularly as he progresses up through the different levels of youth level for his country.
