Transfer news emerges: 3 reasons Millwall should target deal for Premier League talent

If recent transfer rumours are to be believed, then a number of  Championship clubs are said to be pursuing a deal for Fulham youngster Steven Sessegnon.

HITC Sport has been recently reporting that the young full-back is being tracked by a number of Championship and Ligue 1 clubs over a potential loan move in January when the transfer window reopens.

The 18-year-old has already featured for the Fulham first-team this season in the EFL Cup, but is yet to make a league appearance for the Premier League side.

Sessegnon is seemingly down the pecking order at Craven Cottage, which is understandable given his age, but with the likes of Callum Chambers and Alfie Mawson in front of him, it seems difficult to believe that the youngster will be getting regular first-team football anytime soon.

A loan move for Sessegnon could be an excellent career path and could serve him well in his development going forward with Fulham in the future.

But who should be targeting the youngster in January?

We look at the reasons why Neil Harris’ Millwall side should be looking to bring the defender to The Den.

Find out why we think he should sign for the Lions here….
