Tranmere Rovers have signed striker George Donnelly from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee.
The 26 year-old has put pen to paper on a two year deal at Prenton Park and could make his debut for the club at Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
Tranmere boss Rob Edwards was pleased with the addition of Donnelly, telling the club website: “George is a fast, powerful striker who will run behind defences and cause them a lot of problems. He gives us an option we haven’t currently got in the squad.
“He’s got a lot of experience at this level and helped Rochdale win promotion last season.
“I think he’ll fit in well with the other attacking players we’ve got at the club and he will score goals.
“He’s a player I’ve been keen on for a while and I’m delighted the club have been able to sign him.”
Donnelly scored five goals in 34 games last season.
